Welcome to Air Travel Analysis!
Welcome to Air Travel Analysis! I am excited to be sharing my knowledge and experiences about commercial aviation with the world by creating this website/blog! For me (I am in high school), this is only a part-time hobby, so during the majority of the year, I will write or edit about 2-3 posts a week, although that might change over time. During the summer, I write about 4-5 posts a week. I will focus on a variety of topics here, which will be split up into the following categories:
Airline Profiles:
This category is the signature section of Air Travel Analysis. My end goal is to create a database with every airline in it, where you can compare every airlines’ hard products, in-flight, and ground services. I would like my readers to be able to look through the airline database and see what airlines or products are worth their money, and which ones are not. I will also list general information (such as baggage allowance, when it was founded, etc.) and what the airline has been up to recently (buying other airlines, introducing a new cabin class, etc.). Please see the list of airlines in my database here, and the formatting for the airline “profiles” here.
Reviews:
In this section, I will review flights which I have flown, further helping solidify my airline database. I will include pictures from the aircraft in every review. Unfortunately, I don’t fly that much during the year due to many restrictions, so don’t expect reviews coming weekly, but rather for them to come seasonally. I also will have a few guest posts coming to my website, so watch for those. I live near a United hub city (Washington DC), so I mostly fly them in my travels, so expect a large collection of United reviews over time. Over time, I also may add previous travel experiences or hotel or destination reviews, although, in the short term, I only have done flight reviews or any general aviation experience that I have had.
Tips:
In this section, I will put in all of my tips so you can make the most out of your money spent on flights. I hope to post a variety of different tips over time, so you can have as many tips to help you save money as possible. This section is very broad, so posts can range from guides to government programs such as TSA Pre-Check to general ways to upgrade to a premium cabin on a specific airline. Please see the “tips” page for helpful information on commercial aviation.
Airline News:
Since I don’t write that many posts a week, I don’t write about every future flight or new airline cabin or when an airline is involved in controversy – I try to focus on writing information that is helpful to the average traveler most. However, when I feel like something happening in the aviation industry is worthwhile to write about (such as a new plane), I most certainly will try to analyze it to the best of my ability.
Thank you for visiting my website – I hope you enjoy it!
