Future Routes: Amsterdam Area
I have been to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol multiple times. I love it because its lines are usually short, and the airport is pretty modern and convenient. In this post, I will highlight some of the most exciting future airline routes from the following airports in the Netherlands/Amsterdam Area:
- – Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
- – Eindhoven Airport
- – Rotterdam The Hague Airport
As many of you might know, Amsterdam is the primary airport for the Netherlands, and is used for the majority of nonleisure flights and is used for all long-haul destinations. However, Eindhoven Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport are mainly used by leisure airlines such as Transavia in which they fly to mostly vacation destinations.
Also, please note that I am not including all routes that either are flown by other airlines from the same airport or routes that are flown by the same airline from a different airport. If I were to do that, this post would probably never end and would be very boring (to write and to read). Therefore, I am only including the most import flights to (mostly) new destinations where you currently can’t fly to from the Amsterdam area.
In this post, I also include a terminal map of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Terminal/Departure Hall 1 consists of concourses B and C and is used mostly by Transavia and by KLM for intra European flights. Departure Hall 2 consists of concourses D and E and is used for both intra European and intercontinental flights. It is used mostly by KLM and Delta, although some other Skyteam and non-aligned airlines also depart from there. Finally, Terminal 3 consists of concourses F, G, H, and M and is used primarily by KLM (Concourse F) and EasyJet. Again, both intra European and intercontinental flights depart from there.
