Hi, my name is Julian Christensen, and I am the creator and author of Air Travel Analysis. I currently am a college student at the University of Chicago, although I grew up in the Washington DC area. As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by commercial aviation in all forms. When I was younger, I would spend hours memorizing airline liveries or looking at airport layouts on Google Earth. More recently, I have become a lot more interested in the business and economics of airlines. I spend a lot of my spare time reading about the business of aviation and aspects such as airline fleets and networks, frequent flier programs, etc. I also love planespotting, collecting model airplanes, and, most of all, just being at airports and on airplanes and observing this entire process of transportation that I view with awe as almost nothing less than miraculous.
On this website/blog, I share some of my knowledge and passion for the commercial aviation industry with you. Historically, on this website, I have written profiles about individual airlines, flight reviews, and also about various tips for travelers and fliers. More recently, I have used this website more to publish some of my findings from looking into and analyzing data about the airline industry.
I hope you enjoy the content on Air Travel Analysis! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at chrisju77@uchicago.edu.
